COURSE OVERVIEW

During this two day course you will learn and develop the following skills through practical and theory based learning;


  • How to cornrow and manipulate them according to the character or time period including product selection and continuity tips.


  • How to create, install and manipulate faux locs according to the character or time period including product selection and continuity tips.

  • How to correctly attach extensions as a single braid or cornrow without damaging the natural hair.


  • Practical tips to maximise a fitting for a cast member with afro/curly textured hair including determining an appropriate style.


  • How to dry and straighten afro/curly hair including correct heat settings and product selection according to texture, porosity and thickness.


  • How to style afro/curly hair in its natural state including creating curl definition using twists outs, braid outs, finger coils and styling of baby hairs.

  • Understanding hair types and textures and how they effect style choices

  • How to select and blend hair extensions to match afro/curly hair.​

​

  • How to understand the composition of products and their affect on afro/curly hair including selecting products according to texture, weather and desired style.
